COMAR Funnel Shapped Rat Guard
The rigidity, stiffness, that is achieved in the bump form bends of the COMAR Rat Guard enables sailors and ship crews easier handling.
The circumference and diameter is basically the same as the round rat guard and achieves the same protection.
OPTION: The lowering lines can be used or stowed around the top fingers that are secured to the mooring line, figure 2. The COMAR / Round Funnel Shaped Rat Guard lowering lines can be undone which allows the sailor or crew the ease to remove the round funnel shaped rat guard.
Sailors and ships complain about the amount of space it takes to stow an assembled round rat guard when not in use. The COMAR Rat Guard can be KD and stowed in 25% less space than it takes to stow a conventional rount rat guard.
The COMAR / Round Funnel Shaped Rat Guard is not intended to replace Mil Spec MIL-G-2767C. Shipyards and ships who request rat guards to MIL-G-2767C will receive rat guards made to mil spec.
